Part 90 VHF and UHF Two Way Radio System

If you are looking for current information on radio communications  I would highly encourage you to subscribe to the following Yahoo Forums as they have great accurate and up to the minute information on the topic. Much of the information on this page is from the two sites

Information and links focusing on the challenges that many Part 90 VHF and UHF two way radio system licensees face in meeting the FCC's Jan 1, 2013 LMR "narrowbanding" mandate.

Please refer this info to any Part 90 radio users that you know who may not be fully aware of the migration process or procedures, or, the consequences of not complying with the narrowbanding mandate, particularly the many smaller private business, enterprise, educational, and industrial users who operate the majority of Part 90 two way radio systems in the United States.

Are you aware of and prepared for FCC-mandated technical changes known as "narrowbanding" - adopted in December 2004, up-dated in 2007 - that become effective January 1, 2013 - just over 4 short years from now?

These changes apply to all U.S. business, educational, industrial, local and state government, and Public Safety FCC Part 90 (PLMR) licensees operating legacy wideband (25 KHz) voice and data radio systems in the 150-174 MHz (VHF) and 421-512 MHz (UHF) bands of the RF spectrum.
