Outgoing Calls
All outgoing toll calls shall be placed using a Credit Card, collect, or third party billing. The long distance carrier is AT&T.
Toll Calls: Dial 9 + 0 + Area Code + 7 digits
Toll Free Calls: Dial 9 + 1 + (800) or (888)+ 7 digits
Local Calls: Dial 9 + Area Code + 7 digit local number
Incoming Calls
Outside calls can be received directly by calling 301-447-xxxx. On-Campus calls are placed by dialing the 4 digit extension only.

Voice Mail
Your room is connected to the NETC voice mail system. After 3 rings, your phone calls are forwarded to voice mail. To check for messages, lift handset and listen for a broken dial tone. Dial 1635 to access your Voice Mailbox. After retrieving the message, you have the option to listen to your message again or erase the message. The message must be erased before another message is retrieved. The light on the phone is not associated with the voice mail system. It will not blink to indicate that you have voice mail.
Limits: Each message has a maximum time of one minute with ten total messages.
Maintenance: To report any maintenance related problems, call extension 1500.
Note: When you retrieve voice mail by dialing 1635 and there are no messages in your voice mailbox, but you still get the broken dial tone, please call the front desk to have your voice mail cleared. The desk will leave a message on the phone, when this message is cleared. Your phone will no longer give you a broken dial tone when there are no messages. Thank you for your assistance with this problem!!!
