Accountancy, Board of The Board of Accountancy certifies, licenses and regulates certified public accountants (CPA's) and licensed public accountants (LPA's) and their firms in order to provide the public with qualified professional public accounting services.
Administration Department This department provides services to government agencies, information for vendors who wish to do business with the state, information on data practices, public auctions, State Register, Minnesota Bookstore and more.
Administrative Hearings Office The Minnesota Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH) was established in 1976 to provide a fair, prompt and impartial hearing process for citizens who disagree with actions taken by government. This office conducts hearings on rulemaking, workers compensation disputes, and contested cases involving state agencies and local governments. Amateur Sports Commission, Minnesota The Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission (MASC) was created in 1987 by the Minnesota State Legislature to promote the economic and social benefits of sports.

Board of Firefighter Training and Education The board shall: review fire service training needs and make recommendations on training to Minnesota fire service organizations; establish standards for educational programs for the fire service and develop procedures for continuing oversight of the programs; and establish qualifications for fire service training instructors in programs established under clause 2.

Board on Technology Enterprise The board was established to advise the state chief information officer, the office of technology, the governor, the executive branch, and the legislature on information technology funding and expenditures from the technology enterprise fund.

Corrections Department The department regulates and operates ten correctional facilities including eight for adults and two for juveniles.
Council on Black Minnesotans The Council on Black Minnesotans(CBM) was created in 1980 to address the unmet needs and ongoing issues impacting Minnesotans of African descent and ensure that the needs of their constituents are conveyed to the policy makers and others in positions of authority who impact the well-being of this population.

Health Department This department operates programs for disease prevention and control, health promotion, family and community health, environmental health, health care policy, and regulation of health care providers and facilities.
Health Professionals Services Program The State of Minnesota Health Professional Services Program (HPSP) is a professionally staffed, confidential program designed to monitor the treatment and continuing care of eligible, regulated health professionals.
Health Technology Advisory Committee HTAC looks at issues such as patient safety, prevalence of the condition, clinical effectiveness, health outcomes and cost and then reports their findings to the legislature.
Higher Education Services Office Responsibilities include achieving student financial access to post-secondary education, protect and inform educational consumers, and facilitate interaction among organizations that share responsibility for education in Minnesota.
Housing Finance Agency, Minnesota This agency offers five primary services, development and redevelopment, supportive housing, homeownership loan programs, preservation of federally-assisted housing and resident and organizational support.

Legislative Commission on Planning and Fiscal Policy The commission was created to provide the legislature with in-depth analysis of projected state revenues, expenditures, and tax expenditures.
Legislative Coordinating Commission The commission serves as the umbrella organization for legislative commissions, joint agencies, and other boards and was created to coordinate the legislative activities of the senate and house of representatives.

Minnesota Commission Serving Deaf and Hard of Hearing People MCDHH serves as the principal agency of the state to advocate on behalf of deaf, deaf-blind, and hard-of-hearing Minnesotans by working to ensure those persons have equal access to the services, programs, and opportunities available to others.

Public Utilities Commission The (PUC) regulates three service industries in Minnesota, electricity, natural gas, and telephone. It is the commission's responsibility to ensure that vendors of these services provide safe, adequate, and reliable service at fair, reasonable rates.

Racing Commission The Minnesota Racing Commission was created to regulate horse racing and card club operation in order to ensure that it is conducted in the public interest.

State Treasurer's Office The Elected Office of the State Treasurer was abolished on January 6, 2003 as a result of a Constitutional Amendment approved by the voters in the November 1998 General Election. The duties and responsibilities of the former State Treasurer were transferred to the Commissioner of Finance on January 6, 2003 by administrative order. These responsibilities are being met by the Treasury Division of the Department of Finance.

Teachers Retirement Association A public pension fund providing retirement, disability and death benefits to Minnesota college faculty, public school teachers, administrators, retirees, their families and beneficiaries.
Teaching, Board of The Board of Teaching establishes rules governing teacher education programs and approves teacher preparation institutions and programs. It provides leadership for improving teacher education and licensure.
Technology Enterprise Board The board was established to advise the state chief information officer, the office of technology, the governor, the executive branch, and the legislature on information technology funding and expenditures from the technology enterprise fund.
Trade and Economic Development Department The Department of Trade and Economic Development has merged with the Department of Economic Security to form the new Department of Employment and Economic Development.

Workers'Compensation Court of Appeals The WCCA was created as an independent agency of the executive branch of state government by Chapter 175A of the Minnesota Statutes. The court consists of five judges appointed to six-year terms by the Governor and confirmed by the state Senate. The Governor designates one of the five as the Chief Judge. The Chief Judge is responsible for the administration of the court
