It is with deep regret to report the loss of the Secreatary - Treasurer for the Arrowhead Regional Fire Fighter's Association, a past member of Chisholm Fire Department and a good friend.

Ted Garver passed away late last night (03-20-04) after a short battle with cancer of the liver and pancreas. It was a sudden onset, Ted was in attendance at the last regional meeting held on 02-14-04 in McDavitt, and since that time he had been in and out of ST Mary's Hospital in Duluth, where he passed away.

Services will be Saturday 03-27-04 in Chisholm at St Joseph's Church. 12:00 Noon till 02:00 PM visitation and the services to follow. In lieu of flowers the family is creating a schollarship fund in Ted's name.

Ted would have been 55 on 03-22-04. He will be missed by his family in the fire service.

Solve your morale problems!
Your firefighters maybe bored because of nothing to do and the public doesn't recognize them as heroes. Get them involved in public education and fire prevention activities where they are helping the public. It won't be long and they will become recognized hero’s for saving lives in a proactive way.
